We did not make a direct comparison to coffee brewed in a local shop, but found the home brewed variety to be quite easy to drink. With a pleasant aroma, a flavor that is complex enough for most, yet very mellow, and a finish that is extremely clean. No bitter notes or other bad marks to report, a fine classic cup, just as you would expect.
